Although woodworking is not complicated, you'd better pick the right project that matches your level. Otherwise, you are prone to wasting every thing

In the beginning you don't have to come up with your own woodwork plans. It can be a bit tricky to create woodwork plans and you can use already existing ones in the beginning. You will be able to find plenty of them on the internet. https://plus.google.com/110772857933664571003/posts/1Tbmg45TRGy the best website to learn woodworking………..

And in the 70's and through the 80's all these companies ran away to China and said fuck you to the communities that supported them for so long. Craftsman and Stanley are dead to me. There are no good mid range tool makers anymore. You either buy the cheapest junk from Harbor Freight or spend hundreds on something from Snap-On or Lie Nielson or Veritas. Even then you're being taken for a fool.
At least some of the old tools like the hand planes are hard to kill and survive today in numbers and can be had for cheap.
