Jointers Mallet

Roughly followed your video on how to make a mallet. Hollowed out some 1.25″ holes in the middle layer of the head and filled with steel shot I had lying around for some weight.

The wood is mystery wood reclaimed from a scrapped futon that has been living in my basement for too long but it was deemed ‘hard enough’ for this project.

Sanded till I got bored/thought it looked good (funny how those tend to go hand in hand..) and then rubbed some furniture wax in to bring out the grain a bit. Nothing too fancy so it might actually get used to hit things but mostly just a proof of concept.
